This little comic was done a while back when a few of my firends were having problems with "Hero Glompers" e-mailing them because they didn't like their stories or because they wouldn't do art for them. What's that? "Hero glompers" (As I call them) are little girls about between the ages of 13 and 16 who have no internet people skills (or people skills period), constantly use numbers as letters, spelling and grammer is so bad you are lucky to be able to understand it, and basically brainless. These children run around different fandoms annoying people to the point where they have been known to turn real fans away. They are not real fans, they watch about 1 or 2 episodes, understnad that the lead male is a guy, handsome, and popular, and go bananas! They seem to be only able to tolerate themselves and people just like them. While anyone who has a decent grasp on life get's yelled at like this: "3y3 H@T U!! U B33 M3N 2 BuS!!!!!!111!! H3 KnO LI3k U!!111! Ey3 Iz Go3nG 2 M@rRy HeMz!!!11111!!! 3Ye Iz Go K3l U!!!11111!!!! eY3 LuF Bus!!11111!!!! ^_______________________^1111one one one!!!!!!!!one !!!1111111!!" And of course there is no use argueing with them because no matter what logic you use they won't know what you are talking about anyways. So why bother wasting good brain power on them? But because they are not real fans they do tend to switch fandoms every other month or so, but in that month they can do a number on the fandom masses. This was my reaction to all of it. The "glompers"/fangirls get their just desserts from the complaint's desk personal, also known as yours truely. Everyones happy when someone get's blasted. Not refined or finished or my best work for that matter. Scribbly, anatomy is all wrong, yada yada, but I still like it, and it's the point that counts really. I linked it since it's a pretty big file size and I don't want to take up a giant page here. img11.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img11&image=comic.jpg

Huh. Sounds like they're the cousins of bad fanfic authors everywhere. ::grins:: I'd add to your rant, but just about everyone has heard all I've had to say about bad authors.

Actually in this case they just happened to be the same bad authors. People like that are the reasons I refuse to even look at the front page of ff.net anymore, it's become too much of a task to filter through all the bad ones to find one good one. Why agrivate myself when I can just avoid it.

0MG 1337 Sp34K0rZZ!! Yeah I can read that, sorta.
Love the comic. Saw it in your DA gallery before. It may be scribbly, but the point still comes across.
Know what it's like though. Had a guy like that at a internet comic site I used to be up on. He only did one story, and it was okay, not great. Don't remember what started it exactly, but I think people started telling him off for his lack of internet skills and general stupidity. Well then he made a hate site against us, started flaming people and spamming the boards, etc etc. Not exactly a "Hero Glomper", but probably comes from the same bloodline.

Yeah this palce had been by someone like that. She was not a nice person :S. She also then made her own site against us out of spite, but it didn't last lol. I'm just stick and tired of dealing with these internet morons. Right now my biggest problem lays in gaiaonline, some girl stole my art twice (same person, shows you how intelegent she is ) she then gives Joy an attitude and threatens to tell the mods on Joy because she hasn't made her wolves in the time that she wanted (like minuets). Basically a pain in the rear. I think it's the summer, children don't have bed times, nor homework to be completed, or grades to achieve before getting online, so now for the next month or so they are free to terrorize the whole internet community.

Why agrivate myself when I can just avoid it. I hear ya. I haven't actually bothered with FF.N in a long time, though I should someday update my column. But I've been so disheartened with the bad ficcers out there that I don't even bother reading, let alone reviewing. It's a shame that there are good authors left there, who don't have other venues to post, because most of the people who really would appreciate their work have written FF.N off as a wasteland.

Now I know I commented on this on DA. And with this one, it IS the point that counts. They are the reason why I recently just removed all my BLoSC fics off of the face of ff.net. Basically like every already stated, that site is pure junk now. I'm tired of filtering through about 100 fics about little girls who wrote themselves in (they can't even change the name of thier horrable attempt at a character from their real one for crying out loud :S) and are the most perfect and prettiest girl ever, not only that but it must be the rule for bad fics for the Mary Sue to be royalty, because Heaven forbid anyone had an original idea of their own. And then the Mary Sue and Buzz fall in love with in the first paragraph and live happily ever after the end I want to throw up . It kinda makes you wonder if any one of them have actually seen an entire episode? Or had gotten past the obvious things, like gender.

It's been awhile since I watched my BLoSC tapes, so I might not be entirely right about this, but would anyone say that Gravitina might fit the description of a "Hero Glomper"?

No, Gravatinia would be something else, which is a word that I can not say in front of children.

I haven't seen this on dA so I'll comment here^^
Roflol!! I love this pic! I laugh every time I read it, it's so funny^^ ;D I love the part where Buzz announces that fan girls are chasing him and he squints his eyes and says all dramatically, "...Fan girls..." LOL.
It really does get the point across, too! *goes back to see pic again and falls to the floor laughing*
