Hey everyone,
I was just curious of everyones thoughts of the future of BLOSC. If any. I know the ratings didn't do too well. Could we see some sort of continuation of BLOSC in the future? Maybe integrated into Toy Story 3? I have read some possible sequels of Toy Story 2 on the internet. (Just look up on Google Toy Story 3) Think they will ever release a DVD box set of the series? Hmm... Could be a possibility. Seeings how an animated series "The Family Guy" is the most popular DVD box set out there. That plus putting out TV series on box sets isn't much of a expensive or troublesome task now and days. It being profitable or economically viable is another question. Oh well... It will stay in the vaults or some computer for now.
So what do we think the future of the series holds for BLOSC and the community? A small group of people who create Fanfics and Fanart in an attempt to keep the spirit and the emotion of the series alive? Or is it just something that keeps ourselves entertained? Does anyone here use it to express our own thoughts relating to real life?
What am I saying? Its just a cartoon... Made for a specific purpose! Sorry... just babbling about superficial stuff while getting through school and recovering from a little motorcycle accident.
Cheers BLOSC Fans, Ranger Firespear

Hmm well I haven't heard anything about new episdoes or a Toy Story 3. The impression I got was that they couldn't do a TS3 because Disney owned the rights to the movies in their agreement they made when the two companies split. But maybe there is hope in the future for a conclusion. I know I for one want to see a 3rd movie or the continuation of BLoSC. I mean do they ever stop Zurg or what? That would be awsome if they put the ep DVDs in a box set. I know they already put the TS movies and a special feature DVD in a box set, but they would be very wise to put the episodes of their cartoons on DVD also. I mean I bet lots of people would buy them.
I would hope that this community is a bunch of dedicated fans trying to express their love for the show and it's characters. Instead of a bunch of people just "bored, OK this looks cool. Yup cuz I have nothing else better to do." Sometimes my art expresses the moment. Like a long time ago when there were a bunch of morons posting nasty fics on ff.net I drew a pic against that. The Taliban hit the World Trade Center, that got a pic about it to involving the character of Buzz Lighytear. Grantit those pics now are so horrible I didn't know why I thought I was any good, but they stilll mean something. So for me it's more then just entertainment. That's why I'm so adment about keeping things in the fashion of the show, I don't want to see it scarred or ruined. I've seen a lot of good fandoms die out, I'm not about to let that happen to this one, even if I am the last one standing.

I would definately be in favor of a TS3 or even a continuation of the series. Unfortunately, I haven't heard anything on the subject of whether Disney or Pixar is going to make a move in that direction. Since they split up, making a TS3 would be very hard. However, I heard that Michael Eisner (the root of this whole problem) has been fired, so things might be looking up in the future. Eisner's recent demotion might make the prospect of Disney and Pixar reuniting again more promising. So, I don't think the future of BLoSC and the TS movies will be too bleak. It would really rock if they made a boxed DVD set of the series. Plenty of people would buy them - me included. As for the issue of BLoSC and the fandom, like Buzz said, I hope that this community is a bunch of fans trying to express their love for the show and its characters. It would be sad if they just thought this was something to do just because they were bored or didn't have anything better to do. Personally, I think it's all three of those things you mentioned. It's entertaining and yet it's more than that. I think many of us want to keep the spirit of the BLoSC fandom alive. It was originally made in 2000, right? So, to this day, there are still dedicated fans hanging around. And I think that some things that happen in real life can relate or become related to the stuff or characters we've seen on BLoSC. In fact, I can relate to Ty in more ways than one, which is one of the reasons why he's become my all-time fave character. That may sound wierd, but everyone's found a character they could relate to in some way or another. It's like a connection or something. I dunno. LOL. I'm not a psychologist. But, anyways, I may be sort of a newbie to the fandom, but I plan on staying put. I agree with Buzz in saying I'll help keep the BLoSC fandom alive even if we're the last two people standing. Besides, Ty and Buzz are buddies so who better to keep it going than two of their biggest fans? ;D Hee hee.

Yeah a Toy Story 3 would be pretty sweet. But after Disnye and Pixar split who knows if that will ever come about. But like Ty said maybe with Eisner gone now there might be hope for a third movie.
And I'll have to agree with this also. Drawing and writing the fan stuff (although more of the first and less of the second) and all this isn't just for something to do. If I wanted to fill my time up I should be studying instead lol ^_^. But this show holds something special to me, not just Buzz Lightyear. These characters have become our friends (as bizar as that sounds lol). So I'll be standing around here with Buzz and Ty, for infinity and beyond.
