Bored bored bored bored..oh hello ;D! Anyone ever wonder what actually happened to Warp's arm? I mean did it get blown up in the self-destruction of the moon? Or did Zurg amputate (Spelling?) it because he thought it was cool? It's been bothering me for the last 5 seconds lol. Anyone have an insight into it?

That IS a good question. Lol. Now it's bugging me. But here's what I think. . . Since the destruction of the moon was only - to quote Warp himself - "special effects", I don't think it hurt him really. I think it was Zurg who thought his "Agent Z" needed a handy (no pun intended, lol) weapon to blow up good guys with. Warp seemed to be testing out the effectiveness of the weapon, almost as though it hadn't really been his idea in the first place, and he was just making sure Zurg had done good on his end of the deal. So, yeah, I think Zurg added it for function as well as the "coolness" factor. Though, I'm sure he conferred with Warp and Warp liked the idea too. I mean, what bad guy doesn't like a weapon the good guys can't easily steal from him?

Well Zurg is always giving people unneeded abilities and toys, like Torque in the "Torque Armada" gave him a cloneing button for the sheer heck of it. But I think Warp just wanted some "bling bling" LOL that word always cracks me up ^_^. But Joy had a good point, he did say it was special effects. So hmm who knows.

Heh, me and my friend Empress have been discussing this issue a few times. ;D Her opinion was that the arm went with the moon, but I think the robo-limb was a mutual agreement of both Darkmatter and Zurg. Though, it possibly was Zurg's suggestion at first, since he definitely has this odd obsession of "uniting man and machine". And a henchman that's already a part weapon probably was more efficient than a "regular one". I don't know whether the whole arm was amputated, though. I once wrote in some old crap fic that the robotic parts had been built over his existing nerve system, with nanotubes and biotech. So his flesh arm had been sort of part "peeled away" and part integrated inside the weapon thingy. Ok I shut up, I'm going to the technobabble gear again.

Actually, I think that's an interesting theory you have Darksigma. Maybe Zurg DID keep some of Warp's existing arm to make the robotic one. It would make it more advanced, that's for sure. However, the only arguement to that would be in the episode Devolutionaries where Warp's getting a call from Zurg while he's manufacturing that 'devolutionary gas'. Zurg asks him if he packed his 'extra arm' - "the one with laser death grip" or something of that nature. I forget the exact wording he used. But, from my observations, that would indicate that Warp can switch arms at will with 'Zurgafied' updates - at least, I'm guessing, the large lower half (since he seems to be very attached to the upper half, if you know what I mean ). But I think it's still possible that the upper part is still intact with some of Warp's original arm. Anyhow, like I said, it's still a very intriguing idea.

I have borderlined myself. Maybe it was lost in the explosion, it could have been real but not deadly, or a fluk in the plans when the wreakage fell on him. Of course maybe it was in Zurg's contract that is Warp wanted money Zurg got to do an experiment on him.

I think that he lost his arm during moon self-destruction for two reasons:
First one is tho that was a pyrotechnical effect, in those kind of things always be someone hurted. He'd not been the first who lost a hand and arm or his own life when something go wrong in those class of special effects.
Second one is that Warp doesn't be a cheap henchman, if Zurg 'd wanted to use him as a test subjet he should have paid thousands and thousands and thousands of millions of wads of money to convinced Warp. It's true that Zurg's used his henchmen as a test subjets like happened with Torque or with his brain pods (They were guys long time ago), but Warp is different, specially for his huge ego. He's always been very proud of his body (Everybody can understand why, no? ;D) and I think he didn't be very happy to lose one part of his beautiful body.
Warp lost his arm during the explosions and Zurg seized the opportunity to put him a mechanical arm.
